Why I wrote it
Most of what people need to know about anxiety, low mood, ADHD and autism gets explained in a ten-minute appointment, if it gets explained at all. Then there is a wait. Somapath is the explanation I would give you if the appointment were an hour long, written down so you can read it at your own pace and come back to it.
How the content is kept honest
- Written and reviewed by a named clinician, with a review date on every page.
- Medicines are explained at class level only — what a class of medicine does and what to ask about. No doses, and never advice to start, stop or switch anything.
- Nothing here diagnoses. The check-in and the other self-report tools describe your own patterns so you have something concrete to show your GP.
- NHS pathway information changes — always check with your GP or local ICB.
